If you’re anything like me, you know that working with Shopify is equal parts thrilling and challenging. Over the past few months, I’ve had the joy of diving deep into Shopify development—crafting storefronts, tweaking UIs, customizing apps, and watching my work come to life for thousands of real customers. There’s nothing quite like that feeling, is there?

Coming from a web dev background, I quickly fell in love with Shopify’s structure (and Liquid, its templating language, felt like slipping into a cozy pair of coding gloves). But let’s be real—no journey is without its stumbles. How many times have I stared at a problem, knowing the solution should be simple, only to overcomplicate it or spend way too long picking the right "axe" for the job? (Spoiler: Too many.)

That’s why I’m starting this blog. Shopify Tips & Tricks is my way of locking in those "aha!" moments—the concepts I should remember but keep forgetting—by documenting them as I go. Think of it as a developer’s notebook, but one we can all share and learn from.

To make it fun (and practical), I’ll be building Socksify, a dummy store for a hypothetical sock empire 🧦 (because who doesn’t love socks?). Along the way, I’ll break down the lessons, shortcuts, and occasional facepalms that come with Shopify development.

This is Day One—the git init of our adventure—and I can’t wait to see where it takes us. Whether you’re a seasoned Shopify pro or just getting started, I hope you’ll find something useful (or at least entertaining) here. Let’s learn, build, and maybe even laugh at our mistakes together.

Thanks for joining me—happy coding! 🚀

Why the name Shopify Tips & Tricks? Because sometimes, the simplest names stick. (Also, I’m open to better ideas—hit me up.) 😄
